A line from The Beatles LP Sergant Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band (A day in the Life..) In 1963 they were playing a gig in the town, all the town center was being re-developed and there were Holes everywhere. It was noticed by Lennon and McCartney who later penned the song. Lol. I was born in Blackburn in 1948 but left the town 5 years later. However I never strayed very far and although I'm well-travelled I still look on the town with fond memories |
