Hubby got the truck fixed to have his signal lights go out in the car, so after "Scoutcapades" he went to work on the car,,I bought an much needed vaccum cleaner today...been sitting here reading about OHIO...and how it was formed and by whom. I knew there were an lot of british tories in the area up around New York, but little did I know that the Governemnt gave them land grants if they went to the "Amiercan" side in the Rev war and not Great Brtiain...particularly if they were from Canada or Native American...or sympathizers to the cause here. It was also the only state in the union to give religous church grants of property. Later they got them back and gave them out only if they were made into public schools. Found my Strawn family again...m. Reeds..my fifth grandparents back maternal side.grandmother. Anyway, part of them were known as "George Washingotn's elite troops called the "Blue Hens"..spies. I think because the next line back included the "Chenoweths"...is why they got called the "Blue Hens". We got an lot of both sides of the coin back then I'm dealing with. The wars have cost them considerable money thorugh the years. Both sides. Coasttocoastamgeorgenoory.com..an really good week for talk radio shows, kick up your feet and listen, it's one of the largest in the world right now. next week will be spiritual and scientific evidence of the soul and talk of reincarnation and just good conversation..and Art bell will be on "Open lines" Friday night. When anything goes when it comes to the subject manner. I'm nipping on zero sugar Cranberry juice and being good at the moment. You never know though..I could just start swinging from the candliers any old time.!!! |

We nearly paased on the nature walk around the perimiter or the abbey and then had some lovely surprises when we did the walk! We saw a pheasant fly suddenly from the undergrowth, found a gate to a lovely scene by the river where there was a little pebble beach where the boys skimmed stones, further along the walk we found a great rope swing from a tree and Terry and the boys had a wonderful time swinging and Aaron ripped his trousers! It was a beautiful sunny spring day and the sort of day I needed to make me realise how special life can be just doing the simple things! |

Steph, I have never been to Ironbridge but it sounds lovely! Hope you took lots of pics to upload-I'd love to see them! Our weekend is DIY focussed. We have decorated the whole flat in 6 weeks and finished yesterday by getting some tile paint and doing alternate tiles in our kitchen, which had plain white tiles! Me being me, I now have paint all up my arms and it wont come off-goodness knows what I will do tomorrow when I have to go to work-long sleeved top I guess! Today we are just going to chill out and catch up on reading and cooking! Enjoy the rest of your weekend (s) and have a great day! |

Afterwards we feed the folks who have travelled in (long distances here in the desert) and I am serving and cleaning up, so I will be at church from 9 am to at least 5 pm. |
