Crop circles! Are they a huge hoax or are they more sinister?

As to alien beings creating them, indeed why would they bother if their only goal was to take over or wipe us out?  Seems more like a form of communication, a message.  I don't know, but I have no proof they are hoaxes or otherwise.  In the meantime, I simply appreciate with awe their beauty and precision.

Has anyone over there ever been caught in the act of creating one?  If not, you'd have to wonder why not. Since there've been hundreds in such a heavily populated country as England, someone's bound to have seen something.  Unless they've had all trace of remembrance erased from their minds, that is.  Tongue out

I love that jellyfish one.  Did you go see it, Ron?

I saw it in the local paper, the Oxford Mail Ruth, but didn't bother to travel to the farm where it 'happened'. Spooky or what? I agree with you, somebody would have spotted 'activity' had it been man-made. The cops with their heat seeking technology in helicopters would have surely picked it up somewhere, wouldn't they? Scary!!!

Did anyone here ever see the movie "Signs" with Mel Gibson? It's a great film and all about crop circles.

I've always thought Wiltshire was a good county for crop circle spotters and has come good agian near the ancient monument of Silbury Hill close to Avebury.

I think that maybe as someone said here an while back they could be someone playing around with an laser beam up in space (via satelitte)...but Paul's answer was interesting also as to the magnectic fields, have you seen some of the patterns they pick up these days from an peduleum over "sand" during earthquakes, they look like just as much an sophistcated pattern. It's my thinking that the "orb" seen around where one has been made could be beam particles perhaps though. As to the intelligience behind them and the message, not entirely sure on that one yet..thye seem to be forwarning us though about up coming events soemtimes and other times have complex scientific graphics attached to them...more like biological and metalurgic formulas/compositions. Paul's right also about where they are at it's often dry, that goes for upper central Canada also. Hey, Paul, you hear the latest, over July 2nd up in Alaska off some Bay up there the land lifted up over night 800 feet and there was no earthquake felt by anyone nor the movement of it...they are trying to figure that one out also.
