I also understand if you will sprinkle your carpeting with salt and then vaccum it, it will remove any animals fleas or/and mites might be in the carpet. Its relatively inexpenisive and safer to use then harsh cleaning chemicals or pestcides. Cracked egg shells around plants will also rid you of slugs...as for us... the Blue-jays got them yesterday. Yes, one time I went somewhere and forgot to pack my toothbrush, and was told to use salt an brush with my finger and rise well...say its better then nothing, and most restruants will give you the salt for free...gargling with it in warm water will clear up any strep throat also. It helps to take out some stains in clothing..as its an abrasive. My natural body book, says this about Salt rubs..it energizes and invigorates your skin and leaves it moisturized and glowing. Using one of the salt rubs before shaving will give you an closer shave. Here's an receipe, keep it an jar (preferably plastic near the tub), soak so your skin is wet, rub small handfuls all over your body in circular motions and pay attention to rough spots like elbows and heels, avoid yrou face and any cuts or scratches, rinse off..receipe..1 cup fine sea salt, 1 Tablespoon aloe vera gel, 1 Tablespoon light oil (canola, apricot kernel, almond). Pour salt into med sized bowl and add the oils, use your hands to mix the ingredients together well, store in an covered plastic container until your ready to use. Warning: because salt makes an tub slippery, becareful getting in an out of the tub when you use salt, and be sure and rinse the tub afterwards. Alternative is to skip the aloe vera gel and use three fresh berries instead, they can also be frozen ones, strawberries or maybe raspberries Your salts are then kept in the refrigeratior for an couple of weeks, this makes it pink or lavendar colored, be sure and really blend in the berries so its very fine..as said before use your fingers if need be. |
