Sorry to hear that Steph. But look on the good side, you wont have to chase after him for a while.

Hope he recovers soon. Good luck.

Oh dear, Stephanie! Poor little lad!

I hope he recovers quickly. Does he have to be in a cast or anything?

Awwww Stephanie! I am sorry to hear of this. I hope all is well for the summer break for you all. Kiss

If it's any consolation, my sister's kids are always ill or have broken fingers, toes or something to 'wreck' the summer break. She's learned to expect it! Undecided

Thanks everyone - yes Diana it has been one thing after another for nearly two years now! One of my friends said that we have to be the unluckiest family she knows and the happiest!

Yes he is in a cast Sue. We had to call an ambulance to get him to hospital - he got through half a bottle of oxygen and some morphine in the 3 hours before it was put back in place! They put it in plaster initially but they swapped it to a splint/brace yesterday. The plaster room had to call the doctor back in because it was so swollen - it is 3 time bigger than the other knee! He is still in pain but very brave as always. He didn't cry even when he did it so everyone was telling him to get up off the grass (they were playing outside at the wedding reception). Aaron luckily had the sense to run in to the reception to fetch us. The ambulance was an hour - they had to come from Hereford because it was so busy on Saturday night - then we had to queue in the corridors on trolleys because of the amount of ambulances called that night. Just to say though that the ambulance crew, paramedic, guests at the wedding, staff at the hospital and especially a really kind security guard at hospital were all amazing.

One funny story though - little Solomon walked into Grandmas and said "Joseph has decorated his leg again Grandma!"

Oh, wow, Stephanie, that's awful. Tell Joseph that we're all pulling for him.

One of my friends said that we have to be the unluckiest family she knows and the happiest!

I must say, Stephanie, that this statement you made is a true testament to what kind of mom you are, and what kind of person you are as well.  Always upbeat, no matter what; does what needs to be done, without b*****n, moanin, or complainin; and the love you have for your family and friends just continues to shine through.  You are an inspiration and I'm happy to call you friend.  Hang in there kiddo!  God bless!  xoxo
