Yep there is, loads, but the powers that be think these people can be rehab'd, and live in the community!!  They are a danger, we go out to people all the time that we think are time bombs!

mmmmmmmmmmm/ do-gooders again, closed down all the big institutions that used to care (and yes, sometimes abuse) for these individuals. Care in the Community they call it. (Dont-care in the community is what happened) we now have a two-tier social service, the over-paid busybodies and the overstretched, overworked  volenteers!

Another crazy person doing crazy things! the planets full of them!   the devil made her do it?? really? i doubt it!  A lot of these people do things for attention! crazy as it sounds, i swear they do, i mean the baby become centre of attention? one thing for sure, she will be now, in a good or bad way it doesn't seem to matter to them, they want ANY attention. Its frightening how many people have done nasty things that are still allowed to live in the community. It would be interesting to see if she had any previous mental health problems!

Most likely she did and yet she was still "allowed" to have a child.

Was this her only child?

Yep your right, care in the community causes a lot of problems! yes, some can live in the community very well, but they are letting to many, and the wrong sort! we go to a lot of mental health jobs, and really there is no back up, the institutions, although some were bad, on the whole were a good idea, it kept the dangerous ones off the street, after all its not only the mentally ill that have rights, we also must have some kind of right not to be torn to pieces by a mentally ill person, that everyone knew was a danger, yet was allowed to live in the community!!
