I'm not too sure about this. This study was done in the UK, right? Does it hold true for the US?  They use so many pesticides and chemicals here I wonder if they could say the same? I doubt it!

I buy organic as often as possible. Luckily Wegmans here has great prices for organic foods.

It tastes better though!! Smile    and thats a fact! it really does, all my veg is organic and local, and if i run out i have to go the grocers or supermarket, wow the difference is frightening!!

My friend used to work in agriculture, and tells me some of the chemicals they spray crops with are horrific!! maybe it washes off, maybe! ?

I doubt it washes off!! that's like saying the hormones wash off the beef and milk!

Good point Krissy. I imagine (though I don't like to) that the pesticides just get absorbed by the fruit and veggies; that crap doesn't just stay neatly on the surface waiting for us to wash it off.

Exactly! That's why saying organic is no better than regular is bunk! At home when they spray pesticides on the grass we are not allowed to walk on it for 24 hours.....but it's ok to eat food from crops that are sprayed with pesticides?

I personally couldn't give two hoots what the study says, firstly in six months time another study will show different results, and secondly, I will eat organic food because I know they are healthier.
