I 'clicked on' years ago when my son was a child, if you ask a GP what his  diagnosis is (as I did once when I presented my young child with a medical complaint) they reply 'and what does dad/mum think it is?' you then suguest the obvious and they then reply, 'I think you may be right'
In other words they never commit themselves (This is probely to protect themselves from making a wronge diagnosis and the risk of being sued).

But Michael, I always thought that on your side of the pond, gross negligence had to be proved in order to sue...no?

Yea, those pills are as harmful as they are good at times, to many, nope..don't like. It's not just prescription stuff either...did you know it's extremely harmful to give most kids any kind of cough syrup has real licorice in it..it is.Don' t you have any either Ron if you have Hypertension. Ron there's is an accuptunture point just under your ears, goes down the vein you feel there, something as simple as an bad pillow can make you have blood pressure problems,,,press it at times and see if it brings it down for you. One of the best things to keep from having depression, is getting out for relaxing inspiring "walks" daily..at an comfortable pace. God never wanted us live seditary lives. In fact nothing in excess...whatever it might be. I was feeling pretty nauseuated last night, coming off this 10 day stinit of over 90 degrees to 106 for several days. the heat makes it harder to breathe. but then again I've had two green peppers, several zucchinni, and several small red cherry tomatoes also..plums I froze for later on, besides eating an few. Romaine lettace. It's incoming now.

As for the unemployemnt benefits, I think I've collected many years ago one check under $30 in my life and that's been that... crocheted an queen size coverlet while collecting.. and I had an baby under an year old back then. I've never collected food stamps or any other kind of Governemnt substity..in my 61 years, that's why I'm so in debt in part right now I guess. I haven't joined the ususal "American" out there these days. Which reminds me, I hit "Target"with an vengence the other day, got me brand new T-shirts for the boys for $1.38 cents. I do that, one here, one there as I can find them, only if they look decent. It helps me level out the cost of the more expensive items...school is but 5 weeks away....mom an dad get to buy the $22 jeans and school supllies I guess you know. They need PJ's or I should say the oldest one does..I'm scouting around for those right now, at least one good set for staying overnight with others. I find indeed it takes going to several stores shopping to get good value.

I am understanidng everyone is saying to prepare for an earthquke before this month is out..particularly California, they think it's building up with the 4 quakes yesterday down in the Baja area of Mexcio, and there haven't been any lesser quakes..so they think southern California is going to get smacked here soon.wonder  if they have their medical kits in proper condtion and ready.

I am way behind now in everthing because of this horrible heat wave of the last several weeks. Webbots said it would be an "Summer of hell" and that's what it felt like here lately..they predicted the quakes going on and they expect the really bad one around Aug 20th with the "super" moon phase. Aug 6th is an lunar eclipse...so the recent ones don't surpise me either..so far no injuries though because of their remote location off shore. If your traveling, take heed.

Amitryptiline (?sp) can be a dangerous drug, they don't like to prescribe it if not really needed any more, they are a tricyclic antidepressant, but as you say Ron, used also for nerve pain.

Right i'm outta here again!! patients to see etc...!! Undecided

I agree with Diana's post.

Have you seen some of the ad's on tv for some of these drugs?  Some of the side affects look pretty scary......

Take an electic saw, place it against your upper thigh. Flip the on switch. If your leg falls off...stop using.
