Have you seen my photo of the biker dog? He was on the back of a Rocket III, though his little jacket was bearing the Harley badge. |

I just always tell myself that the security personnel have no sense of humour so don't even try being witty. Just be on your best behaviour, very polite, smile and speak only when spoken to. Interestingly, on my last flight I noticed the security person who checked my ID and boarding pass looked me in the eye for a long moment so I very calmly looked him in the eye as well. Gave me the feeling that maybe some of them do this as part of their efforts to check people out, see if they act suspiciously or maybe he was psychic or something, I don't know. |

When we could we would take tour busses, esp up in New England (Boston) area just to relax from the driving the motorhome through the trafffic and freeways. we were outside of New York in an huge long traffic back-up listening to the CB operators, and truckers and discussing what was holding everyone up..and the truckers were complaining about getting behind thier driving schedules to arrive "on time" with their goods...and this trucker says...Well...What do we have here?...an motor biker, just buzzing through the crowd between the cars and trucks on the freeway...Hey you guys, that' s not fair!, open your door and :"smack him" as he comes by!'..you could hear every laugh... of course they never really did that ..we were in that traffic jam for five hours. Five Hours Steph...it was nice we had an motorhome to go potty in an make lunch as we waited. We didnt' go into New York proper, kind of went around it, as we'd left Gettysburg, Pa and was traveling to Colonial Williamsburg, Va. this was also that year they had an bi-centennial fireworks over New Jersey to New York for July fourth, thousands of people went there and it was televised. You people had/have an English show would be nice if they could put on over here, something about "knowing your ancestors". It would make my genealogy work soooo much easier. |

I will have no time tomorrow (probably) I have a bit of running about to do. I have business to see to, a few things I need to purchase and my daughter is moving out and into her own flat the very day after I leave for the USA can you believe! So, I'm helping her out as much as I can with this that and the other. I'll be thousands of miles away worrying about her now! Aaarrrgghhhhhh! I'm doing a 'John Lennon', leaving Liverpool UK for NYC USA! I'd love to visit Liverpool NY, I'm unsure how far it is away from where I am staying. The Village of Liverpool NY was incorporated in 1830 and named after the city of Liverpool in England. This was probably done because like its eponym, Liverpool produced salt and wanted to capitalize on the name of another famous salt-producing region thus forming John's Salt. An interesting fact for me if nobody else! Anyway, I just want to wish everyone goodbye for the now. Keep well, keep safe, be happy and most of all, be you! Oh and Shirley, my ancestors were witches............. which explains my fear of fire........ Ciao! |
