According to Sky News today, there are now 3.3 million households here where only one person over the age of 16 is working!

I say, like many before me, that charity should begin at home and if it doesn't get sorted soon WE, will be the ones needing charity!! When the 'joker' moves on there will have to be some major cuts and the first place to make those cuts is to the so-called 'third world' countries in my opinion! Sorry for those involved but the Governments just cannot keep throwing the taxpayers money down the drain!!

I'll be happy if the lazy gits who refuse to work, choosing instead to live off the state with their many offspring, were made to go out and earn a living. Cleaning graffitti off walls is a good start!

I don't know about over there Ron, but the thing of it is here is getting back to allowing people to not be dependent by the rules our Government makes in living daily. True you need some oganization to society, but it's really getting out of hand over here, it was all I could do the other day to be able to park along the side of the road to take pictures of the Columbia River without No parking, No trespassing along the sides of the roadways...my other option was going into an park and they charge fee's so that would of cost me $8 for two picutres of briefly standing at the side of the road overlooking the River..it's just outrageous...and you know the people that can't afford these rules are out there breaking the rules, they are forced to do so. How would you like to know, you go home, can't BBQ if you live above the ground floor, have an designated parking spot, of which sometimes your car might still get towed out the lot if you forgot your window sticker, costing  you an small "mint" to get it back, (well over $100 plus dollars un-refundable..they have developed this into an money scapling scam by the way) you can't make any noise hardly above an whisper, hang your sweater out on the balcony to "air" out either ..you decide to go out for an walk, you must stay on the right side of the road, observing all pedisterian rules, rateher you know the lastest ones or not, if you have your dog, and he goes to the bathroom, you must stop and pick that up and find someway to hang on to it for disposal, if you get in your car, you can't park on any roads, even in the remote mountains now without an permit to do so. If you go on an hike, you have to have an permit a ahead of time telling where your going..for how long. It just rediculous any more.  this "permit" thing makes people refrain of taking care of their houses and neiborhoods...growing anything and being self-sustaining...fro some people they go about "looking" for more restrictions to feed their ego's I think. You say go to the "country"..I AM in the country..the city came out here to harass us, Spray our blackberries, and slap up 20 mph signs in the middle of no-where practically. Do they really think with no housing around and an flat straightway people are going to drive 20 mph?..I doubt it. Most of us feel like chickens in an coup of rules as it is. I guess  you know our current biggest fear is the Swine flu, and being made via "Martial Law" going to "containment" camps if we refuse vaccinations...which of us already "risk" health problem people could kill us taking the shot, as much as not having it, and getting the swine flu. had they quarrantined those area's in the world that had it to begin with, it might keep it in check an bit better. Or check people as they enter the country for it. This is something else also, there has become an "underground" kind of "American" society from not listening to the "American" People. For many it revolves around not being able to discuss or participate in anything that has "God" attached to it in our politics/thinking. I'm not talking about the weird kind of religions either,..I'm talking about the ordinary middle american that is loyal and true to his country...and beleives in his God. "Us"  they do not help, us they find way to tax, and take, us they tell not to do this and that, but illegals get away with many things. "pot" dealers are most often much more economically ahead then is the average American worker for all his days of duty..doing the right things. People are saying amoung the circles, to watch "Obama" he upholds the rights of the gays and racial groups over that of those that speak the name of God. they are saying that he is now leaving out the name of "God" in politics/Gvernment also. "In God We trust"...side-stepping any reference to it. As he does this people get just an bit more "touching" each time he does. Those whom carry guns, fear his rules to eliminate them, means in the remote areas these Mexican drug cartels growing "Pot" and crossing our boarders will be able to get away with anything, an TEXAS, is the number one state saying they will pulll out of the union if he refuses to let them protect thier families from house raids by illegals. Just as do the Native Ameircans, if they can't protect thier grounds from "pot" growers also. It's getting wild somedays in this country. Everyone admits that they are tired of the "Lies" and tired of the restrictions, and "empty promises" when it comes down to it, not having an way to turn to for help may be "the straw that breaks the camels back as they say"...because many doing crime, have found ways to sanction it through our laws and through powerful people that turn their heads the other way. They see Governemnt acting as the role of killing off its citzens from  the legislation passed, not helping them. Sad to say. Many "white" Americans feel they have and are being PUSHED into third world status, and they bitterly dislike it. Only the days ahead will see if it changes or not.

they say.

Shirley you have highlighted similar problems here. To describe our situation would be virtually duplicating your post. I really don't know where it will end, maybe the revolution really is coming? Hang on in there Shirley!!

You know I get sent emails that often show things as they are, and and often times they are taken off shortly there after, so no one can see them..esp those on UTube. There is an real grass roots movement to hushing up the truth in ways...as this utube said, what you see for your own eyes, and what you saw on national media was two different things. You know what "Bush" did dafter he left office, first he built himself an 8500 sq foot brand "new" house, when most people were losing their houses to mortgage companies, and then he put up an complete fenced barricade around it..I think that's saying something, because everyone knows the Presidents have security with them to the day they die, rather in office or not.  The email I got yesterday was about an small town that once an year.. and they have done this for 42 years now, they take all thier new military recruits that signed up (this year 77 of them) and they give them the "oath" at the same time, and then have four jets fly through the air in formation to salute them, as an band plays "God Bless America" ...Obama refused them this year, in letting them honor thier miltary like they do..they are just royally madder then an bunch of bees and then some. As they say, pass it along, this is the truth...this is what they really think of our young men dying for their country..they aren't worth political "recongintion" for their sacrifices while they are alive.  And of course when they come through and pull off the Utube presentation it makes things seem all the more scrupulous. And whom sent this to me, an pastor of an small town church...that's on my friend's e-mail board of contactees. And of course it was brought up that when Obama's friend was put through an hassel...he was right there. In which case the police said they were only doing their job, when he asked for an full apology...it was his friend's cussing/fighting the police that got him arrested. What he was doing was breaking into his own house for lack of keys,  someone called 911. They dropped the charges, but they weren't happy about his actions toward them doing their job..in requiring him to "prove" whom he was. It is definately getting touchy over here, I can remember when some 35 years ago my California friend came back up here because she said it was an "hot" day, she had all her windows opened, and her little girl was getting her hair combed and fussying,..crying, and she was met at her door by an policeman, that wanted her I. D. and proof that she was the mother. That was my answer when I saw her move up here having chopped off her daughter's long pretty hair...she never moved back down there either after that. It's telling you how bad things are when things like this happen. I hope your better over there in Britain, things like this don't happen, and you can't really blame either side for being cautious in ways. There was one woman about to get an traffic ticket that the police chased up to her front door as she called her hubby on her cell phone, because she didn't trust if the policeman..was really an policeman...she wanted her husband there. Such an crazy world these days.

If we have simliar problems, can you explain to me, like back in the olden days, if business wasn't as good, they lower their prices with fantastic sales to promote the merchandise...what they are doing these days, is taking the less expensive off the market to "force" others to pay high corporate monopoly prices. When people tell them they can't afford it, they look at them with an kind of "what?" and turn around an go the other way as if they didn't exist. Which means those people stand there with nothing, because they can't afford it, and they aren't easy to forget how they were treated by these bimbo's. I went to the store, bought 10 lbs. baby red potatoes, for $9.95 cents, that would be 99 cents an pound. I can buy them "instant" ...88 cents for 2 cups, butter, cheese, bacon bits, sour cream, and whatever included for the price..all that's needed is water..which equals one pound when rehydrated...not to mention they will keep infinately pretty much...in comparison to an sack of fresh potatoes. Someone figured this out and raised their's to $1.10 an package, the 88 cents ones were cleaned off the shelf in an matter of hours. No one is buying the $1.10 packages any more. You can see where this company is headed though can't you? It doesn't take an billionaire CEO to figure it out...if they are capable these days of doing so that is. Next time around, they will go back to buying an less potato, and bake it, for an less price, or change to pasta instead. By the way, the restruant taught us to make our mashed potatoes using chicken broth, instead o flots of butter ro milk, and minced dried onions in the cooking water when we cooked them, before mashing,..this makes the potatoes "taste" more like they have an hint of gravy on them. It saves your health.. as well as your pocket book...when you top it with less gravy.

Really interesting posts as usual Shirley, but it's a real shame also that you have to highlight these problems. We all know whats going on, why can't we do something about it? As I said in an earlier post, the revolution has to be coming!
