These words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, I have always pondered. Every person’s condition is a solution in hieroglyphic to those inquiries they would put. We act it as life, before we apprehend it as truth I truly believe that each life is a language no one knows. With every heartbreak, discovery, and unexpected moment of joy, with every lift of music that touches us where we didn’t think we could be touched, with every experience, another letter in our alphabet is decoded. Take a step; learn a word. Feel a feeling; decode a sign. Accept a truth; translate a piece of mystery written in you heart. Before we live what’s next it always seems like there is some answer we need to arrive at. But daring to enter, we are humbled to discover, again and again, that the act of living itself unravels both the answer and the question. When we watch, we remain riddles to be solved. When we enter we become songs to be sung.I have to always keep remembering that questions and problems remain obstacles until lived. In this way, the life of every soul waits like sheet music to be played. What good are we if never played? To you my friends who stand triumphantly at the summit, I say bravo “You have made it! And to you who are still climbing the mountain of life’s promises. I say in all sincerity “Keep climbing. You have so much to look forward to; aging is a great success, a result of strength and survivorship. Therefore “Carpe diem” Size the day.Love |

Our family has an picture of John Brown of Harper's Ferry in their 50th wedding anniversary picture along the Nebraska-Kansas border. I was reading about another 72 year old this morning, whom jumped at the chance of being in an 125 year celebration of pioneer wagon trains, by riding from Fort Boise, Idaho to The Dalles where there will be an two day town heritage celebration. One of the little towns where they stop, is having an chicken feed for them in the community center tonight. this lady took the time to go authenitcally dressed, and she says she's learned that an nice thick wool blanket on the bottom end while riding up front sure helps the bottom end at night. It's an two week excursion, and they said that at night they gather up around the camp fire, they are learning to respect the hardships involved and the scenery of the land. I think it's marvelous that people can particiapte like this from time to time at 72 years old..it would be nice we all could do it. for living life is something that keeps an person young I think. Testimony to your words above. You have have an WONDERFUL birthday Rita...with many more to come. Keep inspiring those younger kids, they need it in the world of today!!! |

I think as we get older one of the many things we learn is. that you need to claim the events in your life, to make yourself yours. When you truly posses all you have been and done, which may take some time, you are fierce with reality. I truly feel blessed to be alive.
