There are many things that are on my "bucket list" and maybe not all will be accomplished, like doing a marathon, but there are things that have replaced it. When I lived in England it was my intention to travel all over the UK, instead, my pregnant daughter was with me, so long story short, instead of travel, I got a BEAUTIFUL granddaughter. It does amaze me that I am about to have another birthday next month(where does the year go) and while there still are things I meant to accomplish, I am grateful for the things that I unexpectedly did achieve. |

You have done alot of things that you probably forgot to mention when you saw your friend. You have also been through alot - like your cancer scare. Same goes for you Krissy - you are both so much more special than you realise - which is why you are special! I also think that there is alot to be said for a nice happy stable life - travelling on roller coasters all day makes you feel very sick! Edited by: Stephanie Jackson at:15th September 2009 08:19 |

Remember always to have a mind that is open to everything, and attached to nothing. Embrace silence, perhaps one of the greatest rewards of meditation and prayer is the sense of belonging that comes to us. Treat yourself as if you already are what you would like to be. I have had to do this work every day, and i am 72 and the journey continues. |

The present moment is where you are always. So we live in love and live in joy. Hope you are in the moment. |

Rita, that is the most profound statement I've heard in a very long time. Should have that pop up on our calendars every day to remind us. Krissy and Diana, I also feel the way you described from time to time and Rick is right - the feelings go as quickly as they came (usually after I give myself a good swift kick and remind myself how much I have to be proud of and thankful for). I discovered that to accomplish goals or just do something I've always wanted to do sometimes I have to "just do it" at least on whatever scale I can manage. If I can manage not to limit my thinking for a bit (don't have time, can't afford it, blah blah blah), Ifind that I can do some things I want, albeit on a smaller scale. Never get to take a "real" vacation? Forget the housework for one day and treat yourself to a drive into the countryside. Pack a lunch, a book, camera, etc. and just get away from the "every-day" stuff that makes you feel disappointed. As Debbie said, it is amazing how much money you can accumulate for trips, etc. a bit at a time that doesn't even impact you financially like you thought it would. Diana, I believe you are precisely where God planned for you to be at this point in time, as are we all. Come on, get down with your glorious self! |
