It seems like there is some truth to that old adage "when it rains it pours". I am sorry that all of this is hitting you at once, Sue. God speed all prayers and good wishes to you and your family.

Sue, you should be able to see your sons before they go on to their next training site after boot camp for an few days. Ask them to check  on it and see how much time they have going fronm one area to the next. ..or if its close enough to you that you could pick them up and drive them there. As for your dad, we arent' imortals yet.but each day they work at helping us get there...I'm sorry but there's little to say any more, because theres' nothing really adequate to say. That's why I said, I understand..because I've watched my mother pass, my dad, my great aunt, my second cousin, my brothersin-law, my grandparents, my uncles on my dad's side, my uncles on my mother's side, my hubby's brother, my aunts on my mothers side, my aunt on my father's side, several neighbors that were children, several best friends, several nieces and nephews, and an host of people I grew up with over the years. Most all of them within the last 30 years. So while I can't convey the words to sooth your pain, understand that I've been there many times now. We have to find our purpose for going on..and sadly accept what life deals to us sometimes.

Diana is right - it never rains but it pours. I do feel for you Sue. It is difficult to find the right words.

Having 3 lads myself I am not looking forward to the day they leave and it is such bad timing that your son is going while you are away in England on such a sad journey to pay your respects to your dear Dad. You must be proud of your lovely sons and also frightened at the same time. I pray that they will get safe assignments. Thinking of you and sending our love.
