Every day something happens to make us smile! Thought I would share some of mine from the last couple of days.

We went to the park yesterday and as Terry parked the car there was this good looking young lady walking her dogs with a very very short skirt on! We were all trying to decide if she had flesh coloured leggings or it was just her legs under the "belt" she was wearing when she stood in front of the car smiling and lifted up the one side of the skirt to reveal ? - we didn't wait to see! Poor Terry was ducking his head and getting terribly flustered and all of us turned away quickly! I did laugh at him last night - think some wives would have punched her though!

My son's new teacher is "away with the fairies"- we have had funny experiences with her before. This time my friend was accompanying the class on a trip to the swimming baths. The teacher hung up her bag and proudly showed my friend some "Peppa Pig" badges she had pinned on the bag. (Peppa Pig is a toddlers programme here in the UK). My friend asked (tongue in cheek) if the teacher had been to meet Peppa Pig when she visited the local shopping centre in the holidays. The teacher said "Of course not - that wasn't the REAL Peppa Pig - it was just a man in a costume!". And this woman is teaching our 9-10 year olds!!!

Watching my 9-month-old granddaughter eat spaghetti noodles for the first time, especially the quizzical look on her face which immediately turned to utter delight the minute she first picked some up. She had a blast and everyone nearly pee'd from laughing so hard!

Also, my son and daughter-in-law are singers/musicians so there is always music being played in their house. My granddaughter doesn't seem to pay attention to most of it with one major exception--when they put on Stevie Wonder, she pulls herself up to stand at the coffee table and "dances!" She especially likes "Isn't She Lovely?" It's off-the-scale on the cute-o-meter!

Debbie, when I worked on the underground railway, a young lady was scared stiff of the escalators. I tried to reasure her that they were safe. I helped her to step onto the stairs and as we were on our way down, she threw her arms round my neck and her legs round my waist. It must have looked funny to everyone else. My head stuffed almost down her cleavage and her with an almost non existant mini skirt on. She was shaking like a leaf. It must have looked very rude. And it wasnt my birthday either.Lol

A likely story Peter-----the best excuse you can think up???  And I'll bet you asked her if she'd like to go up agian ? After you extricated yourself from her cleavage, of course.

These are all great - really cheered my day - I have been giggling here all on my own at 6.20am!!!

Rob - I always think that watching children is great entertainment - mine make me laugh every day about something they do or say!

You were really lucky with that gas station one Shirley - quick thinking!!!

The escalator stories are brilliant! And yes Debbie the charging for plastic bags has become a popular one over here. If you don't bring your own bag they look at you in shops like you have just robbed them - or lit up a cigarette in the shop - we have lots of new crimes over here LOL!!!
