From pinching cakes, to kissing Rick with his hot mexican breathe, to making bread...what an last couple of pages I'm going through right now.I got an surprise yesterday, I thought my son had gone to his work, well he did, but he got off early, picked up an neighbor and they went out and got us some more firewood, I had made dinner last night and was waiting for him to make it home, and he does with all this firewood, so nice, as it started raining and the more it does the less we can get up into the firewood areas. I guess the ladies are into making an "Red Velvet" cake for an Christmas idea this year , or so it sounds like. But not just any "Red Velvet Cake", this one is different, it's an Southern Red Velvet cake...complete with cream cheese frosting. I do suppose it would be festive and look festive with some red icing snowfllakes on it...of the simple type. I see they are coming up with more economic ideas to get through the Holidays. That includes all those bake sales also. I'd enjoy giving up the hoopla and go some place close by for the Holdiays this year.Someplace not to fussy and friendly and fun. "Down home" type as they call it. If you hear of any such places in Oregon or near by (100 miles) let me know.

Hi Debbie!

Hi Shirley. I envy you. One of my favorite scents is the smell of a wood burning fire when the air starts to turn cool.
