My kids had something of this nature last week, high fever, sore throat, real tired, cough. It's been going around but they are doing good now. I'm sure everyone will be feeling better soon. See...such faith, I didn't say I hope. I said you will. Just practicing at making your body stronger against any other infliction might be lurking around, to put it out of getting worse. But I do hope to take the advice of many people I know and eat some crumbled up blue cheese this winter, at least once an week ro so in an salad...esp since pears are out now. I've had an doctor mention this and an Canadian at one time also. Anything helps to strengthen the immune system. We will probably be having snow showers this wekend at the 4,000 foot or above elevation...early for the season. There goes my firewood gathering perhaps...to bad its so darn expenisve to buy it. Finished my Cromwell book last night, started the last one and then I have his series read.after two books already, I'm getting to like an few of the characters in it. Barbaric for their day in ways, they still show some hunane thinking to things at times.. Unless one holds "Life" in esteem, it means nothing to many in the way they deal with others.

Yes, how is the diet going, or the maintaining it at any rate. Good time of the year to think about doing it.

Thanks for everyone's good wishes. Hope Michael & Oliver are better now - sounds like the same virus as Solomon had. He only woke up once last night and managed to stay in his own bed so I think he is on the mend. We took him to Dudley Zoo yesterday for some fresh air - my Mom told me last night that her mother always said that if Mom or her siblings were slow recovering from illness she would walk them to Dudley Top Church to blow out all the germs - so maybe it does work! Hope Anna's cough is improving too - I think I'm getting one now!

Interesting theory about the blue cheese Shirley ( I enjoy it but Anna not so sure ) but the pears, what are they supposed to do?

Thanks Stephanie for caring as ever and glad to know Solomon is coming along also. Anna's cough getting better but turned into a stinking head cold so she has both to contend with right now. I think there is a lot to be said for getting out in the fresh air. Thing is, if the germs are blown out at Dudley Top Church where do they go, is it you spreading all the germs? Lol

Hi Diana, I weigh one boulder and a couple of pebbles, what ever that might be...just teasing Ron! ....Have you ever noticed how the word "diet" slowly broken down sounds an lot like "Die-yuck"...really..it kind of sounds like that. All those of you who agree, raise your hands!!! It's kind of descriptive of the word in an way....no wonder I have problems staying on one of them.

If only I really did have that effect on you Diana! (I won't tell Anna by the way).

How is Salem nowadays? What about the diet that 'WE' started, are you still on it? I am of course, I weigh 21 stone 9 pounds now! Hey that's good isn't it? Lol

I am doing quite well, Ron. I am going more by how my clothes feel than the scales these days though. I've discovered since I started daily bike rides that my clothing is getting loser but the scale says I am gaining, albeit, not much. I think I am burning fat and building muscle.
