We have an small library in town here, that is more into computers and magazine and children's books....but downtown Porltand is not to far away, and we have many other sources to get ahold of books locally..though several are used shops..but you know the "price" is right on them...$30 books for $4.99. You can buy 6 for the price of one. At this price, I've been known ot share the books with others also, and not "fret" if they are never returned. I generally keep any reference books I get. Diana, over some 30 years ago, we determined at college that most the good jobs were "had" by people you knew inside the corporation. True, you had to be able to back up the job requirements, but getting your foot in the door means you had to know someone there. Try belonging to the various women's executive organizations and also the art and museum institutes. You may now res-ume. LOL. |

Barbara, I am always excited to hear that someone is just starting their journey of discovery of C.S. Lewis' writings. You are in for a treat! I hope you will write me personally and tell me what you think of his works after you have started reading them. We will have some interesting discussions! :-) |
