Ron, my dad was on an oxygen machine when we drove him back there, and they told him to forget it..that was "it" when he got on it...and we took him anyway, he not only came back, an year later he was off the machine. Drove back himself to see his sister for couple of weeks. Hubby's brother came out after that also...they said when he went back he got himself an electric scooter and gave up "walking", and he never made it to much an year past getting it. We rented the car going back, one where you could get to the truck through the rear seat, we had dad's oxygen in the trunk and his line through the set to his nose...ready to go if he needed it... it's amazing what family  can do for others in healing them and giving inspiration to keep going at times.

Wow, what a story Shirley and must admit it made me smile a few times throughout as I can almost imagine the situation. And the nightgown scenario for example, so funny! Don't know how you find the time, or found the time to get it all in...and 6000 miles in a week? I barely do that in a year!! As for having an oxygen bottle in the boot (trunk - Americanism Lol) I am not sure that it would be permitted over here, don't know, maybe! Obviously the family means a lot, as should be the case of course. Fancy a piece of cake Shirley

And you write 'weird stuff'.........never!! Lol

Keep it coming Shirley, love it...

I take it you posted the picture for me, it came up in another thread that in I commented about it,...I was "different" and one they now call an Indigo child..I use to see "visions" even back then, mostly of living in this huge house..I kept thinking at times, I didn't belong with these people, because I lived in this huge house..rather it was an "bleed through" to an previous life I have no idea...or if indeed I did belong in another house, I know my mother said that my dad's old boss and his wife "Shirley" wanted to always adopt me, but she would never let them. in comparison to my other family members in the entire picture though you can see my "deep soul" sticking out in this picture.

What night gown scenario?..Oh, you must mean my Aunt's college graduation honors. I really liked her Ron, never knew her to much in my life, as my folks never travelled like I would.  She was so up beat and fit into today's society...we use to talk about this with my California relatives, in how at times some ot them back east seemed to still in time to the now days of living...though it's caught up with them finally with computers.

Yes, I am getting rather chatting here lately...I should stop it. Give others an chance.

I am not currently in a relationship, but my thought has always been, if there is something about the person I am with that I hate so much that I want to change it, then why am I with him?

Don't get me wrong, there is always something about other people, no matter how much we love them, that will drive us crazy! Lol. But, I always try to remember that the things that irritate me about others may be just the tool God will use to correct a misguided attitude in me.

No partner-No change!  Or should I say that the change I would make is to one day have a partner again.

Make her sleep in the other bedroom Ron. Thats what I did with my wife. Now I get a good nights slepp with two closed doors between us. Lol

As for the oxygen in the car, no you cant carry it in the boot unless you make special insurance arrangements. If you dont, you are not insured. It also has to be securely fixed to the floor. But you can get a mobile unit (I have one) that not only can you carry in the car,but is light enough to carry with you while walking. You need a prescription from you doctor and it is very mobile. Comes in a back pack style bag and a handle for carrying by hand.
