We are expecting more bad weather on Christmas Day. I hope it holds off for just one day!!

I am so blessed! Heavenly Father was looking out for me. He sent my neighbor over who asked if he could come over and use his snowblower on my driveway!!! Of course I said YES and thanked him immensely!! I sure love my Heavenly Father. He is always looking out for me. Smile

Hello everyone. Not been on here for a little while, work has been horribly busy! then a few days ago i got lower back pain, radiating down my left leg! sciatic nerve, and now, as well as giving me loads of pain killers, the doc has signed me off work for 6 WEEKS!!! Surprised  so i've broken up for Christmas early!!!Laughing

Oh Jason, I am sorry! I too suffer with sciatica and the last serious flare up had me out of work and barley able to move for almost 6 weeks! It was the most excruciating pain I have ever had. Unlike you however, the doctor would not prescribe me pain killers. He said they were too addictive and it was best just to use hot/cold packs and rest till it subsided. B*****d! Was probably The Marquis de Sade in a past life. Lol.

Do take care of yourself. You are in my prayers.

Jason and Diana, Sorry to hear about your pain.I too had a similar attack in November and neither painkillers nor rest did me any good. Then I tried an exercise which someone showed me and it did me a world of good. You can try it if you like.

Lie down flat on your back with your palms facing downwards.Fold your legs at the knees. Now try raising your waist slowly as much as you can.Dont strain yourself.Do this 6-10 times at a stretch 2-3 times a day.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.Get well soon!

Hello everyone!

Jason - get a water bed - no sciatica since I did (except when we go on holidays and sleep in a normal bed!). I got it first when I was 15 - think it was because my Dad couldn't lift anything being disabled and my Mom and me were carrying a fold down bed upstairs - since then I get it on and off too, horrible pain - get well soon!

Krissy - love the new avatar!

Cathy - thank God for good neighbours! I hope I will have some at the new house!

Urmimala - great to see you here!
