There are a lot of hymns that make me feel really good inside but this one gives me goosebumps. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I would love to hear some of yours!

There's lots of good hymns, but my all time, all time favourite is 'We plough the fields and Scatter'.

I must say i'm not usually over keen on listening to hymns. But... a few weeks ago i was shopping in Lichfield, and went into the cathedral, its a spectacular place, and i usually pop in to have a look round when i shop in Lichfield, well, it was early evening, so pretty empty in there, apart from the choir, who were rehersing, and WOW!!!  it was jaw dropping! really they were THAT good, it was fantastic so i stayed and listened for quite some time!!

I'm so glad you had such a positive experience Jason. There are times like that when things just touch me deeply and I have to think that I was meant to be there at that exact moment.

I love the old spirituals: "Let My People Go", "There is a Balm in Gilead", Swing Low Sweet Chariot", "Sometimes I Feel Like a Motherless Child".

The list goes on and on!

Good choices everybody.  I love the big gospel choirs.  One of the most powerful gospel songs I ever heard is this one by Yolanda Adams, called "The Battle Is the Lord's."  When you watch the video you can see how people like Aretha Franklin and Gladys Knight got their start singing in church.

The message of this song is very powerful.  I have lived it and know it to be true.

Another of my favorites is "O God Beyond All Praising."  It goes to this tune:
