But... a few weeks ago i was shopping in Lichfield, and went into the cathedral, its a spectacular place, and i usually pop in to have a look round when i shop in Lichfield, well, it was early evening, so pretty empty in there, apart from the choir, who were rehersing, and WOW!!! it was jaw dropping! really they were THAT good, it was fantastic so i stayed and listened for quite some time!! |

One of the most powerful gospel songs I ever heard is this one by Yolanda Adams, called "The Battle Is the Lord's." When you watch the video you can see how people like Aretha Franklin and Gladys Knight got their start singing in church. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DsvmMXdgaXk&feature=fvw The message of this song is very powerful.
