Who sang " Hail Britannia".., Britannia rules the waves. I've never been to Britain, but I love Britain. How in the world does a "Good ole Boy" like Roger Miller, end up writing a song called "England Swings"? And Country and Western singer Johnny Horton sings about the English Navy sinking the Bismark.

Hi Bruce, a very warm welcome to the POE (Pictures of England) site. Smile

Not sure that I can answer your question, but many on the site will be able to.

What can I say - people are crazy about England - and if you are one of those then you couldn't have come to a better site.

Hope you will join in and enjoy yourself here Smile

Not really, I'm just a huge "Monty Python" fan. I readily admit, when I was young, I thought British humor was extremely dry, but now I think it is the greatest. Monty Python and Benny Hill,(may he rest in peace), were, and are, my favorites  Here in the States I used to watch "Are you being served?"

Bruce I really think the members would enjoy meeting you and want to say Hi.  May I suggest introducing yourself on the Forum (Forum Index, "User Introductions") and telling us a bit more about yourself.

Mmmm..... Monty Python fan!  Plenty of those on here too, lol
