Doh gotta get me fags booze n crack before feeding the kids ennit.

Totally agree with whats already been said here, its a disgrace and the often young parents should be ashamed of themselves. Further, if they don't want the kids, hand them over to somebody who does!!

Like you said Jason.....what a cr*p society we live in, where parents can't be bothered to feed their young, for whatever excuse they choose to use!

As I waited for my appointment to be qualified for food assistance, I watched more than one young family with several children (all under the age of 6) come in, the mothers either pregnant or with a new born in their arms. Upon inquiry I discovered that many of them had been on welfare and other government assistance programs for a number of years. What the hell are they doing popping out more children when they already can't feed the ones they have?

This is the kind of thing that makes me want to mandate sterilization for these irresponsible gits. Arrrrgggggggggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having said that, the government is equally, if not more so to blame. They should cut off assistance to those people who have additional children while on welfare. Maybe if these free-loaders knew they would not get more assistance, but rather be penalized for every child they had while on government assistance, I'll bet we'd see a quick decline in birth rates!

BTW, it's been three weeks and I still haven't been approved for assistance even though I won't receive my first unemployment check for another six weeks and I have less than $50.00 dollars in the bank Why? Because people with children get first priority. The government makes it too easy for irresponsible people to keep having more and more unwanted children.

Over here it benefits them to have more children. In the course of my job I see how much these people can get - one of my clients who is a hard working man but on a low income has his money made up because he has 4 children which is fine - but he could give up work and get just as much if not more money so where is the incentive to work. But there is no excuse in this country not to have enough money to give your children breakfast. The amount of benefit handed out well covers food and clothing as well as housing is paid for. As a country we look after our low income families well.

Sorry to hear of the hardships you went through as a child Diana. It helps us see why the school are doing this - whether they have the income or not some parents choose to have their own pleasures at the expense of their children. Therefore surely it would be better if the Government gave out food and clothing tokens as part of the benefits handed out instead of cash.
