Funny, special, very strange - share them with us! I once received a rally driving experience day from an ex. It was a brilliant present for me as I used to love rally driving (slowed down since I had the children!). If you got the best time of the day you had chance to go through to the next round - another rally and racing day and I did (beat all the men!)! Didn't get through the next round after that though and I had to go on my own as I had split up with the ex! I bought the same ex a weekend trip to Paris that Christmas. I wrapped up loads of clues in a big box - a bit like a pass the parcel. I have received some very special good wishes, cards and gifts already this Christmas from some of my POE family - thank you xxxxxx |

It was so special that he made it. I still have it today. He also made me a cradle for my dolls when I was 3. I used to rock my baby sister in it instead!! My first job after high school I earned enough money to buy my mom a cultured pearl necklace. She was so thrilled!! Made me feel good to make her so happy. |

She didn't have a clue what was in it. |

Won several fishing competitions and also held the record for the largest Red Bream caught. The men on the boat wanted to sit her side of it too, but I think it was down to her own lug worms dug at Winchelsea beach, and the fish liked them over the men's offerings |

LOL Toby! Don't think Ron's looked back in here yet! Your Mum sounded like she was quite a character Paul. Bet she treasured those special gifts from you. I agree Cathy - handmade gifts are extra special. Terry does alot of cross stitch presents for very special occasions. He has done them for our friends daughters' Christenings - designed them himself too. He did one for our friend's retirement from the police force too with the West Midlands police emblem on it. I used to make my own sweets to give - don't seem to have so much time now but I usually make all my personal cards. Hope yours has arrived! Edited by: Stephanie Jackson at:14th December 2009 06:51 |
