There was a dreadful accident the night before last in Cornwall - a coach overturned killing two ladies and seriously injuring others. The coach slipped on the ice and then the police car rushing to the scene also slipped on the ice and ended up overturned by the coach. They had been on a trip to see the wonderful Mousehole lights. Praying for those people and their families. Praying also for our troops in Afganistan and Iraq. Nearer to home praying for Peggy and her husband and hoping they will find out what is wrong with him and put it right. Praying for my sister's friend and her husband and boys. He is very poorly right now - this developed from a chest/lung infection and I keep thinking how lucky I am that Terry pulled through his - my sister's friend's husband hasn't been so lucky. There but for the Grace of God go I. Thinking of Cathy and Elsie - hoping the New Year solves some of your problems. Also Diana - hope you find the job you deserve in the New Year. You have such a tender heart for everybody else, even when things aren't so great for you. Still we all have some blessings to count, don't we? We had 2 tragic events happen in the last few days. There was a 31-vehicle pile up on Interstate 10, between Tucson and Phoenix day before yesterday. It was a dust storm that reduced visibility to zero. Three people died, a 25-year old man from Iowa and a brother and sister, aged 14 and 17. Prayers for these families. A 7-year old boy drowned in a canal, trying to save his friend who also fell in. Prayers for them as well as their grieving families.. Prayers for your family too, Stephanie, that this year will find you all well and healthy, in your new home and no crutches this year! And prayers for peacee in the world, especially in places where hatred, and murder and mayhem are the order of the day.

He is still in hospital now confined to bed, as he has lost the strength in his legs, and he has baffled all the medical staff as all tests including a MRI scan shows normal, he now has to wait for some experts to visit next week. I was going to see him today but yesterday the Doc confirmed I have shingles, he think it is caused by stress, but we are sure someone somewhere must have an answer so are staying positive. I am not going to be a bore, therefore I will not mention this again until I have some good news. As the family went to visit him I stayed here and uploaded a few pics which my son took for me last week. Thank you Stephanie for your e mail and also thank you Maria for your e mail Christms wishes from Italy, they were very much appreciated, nice to have a feeling of 'belonging' I hope you all had a good day and enjoy the rest of 2009 |
