Everyone has had very deep and interesting thoughts here - at the moment I am trying not to think too deeply - think it is my mind's way of surviving through all the work that has to be done and the changes in my life!

I, like you Cathy, have been trying to think positive and forgiving thoughts. It is hard though but it does work! My Mom used to say that as a little girl I could never understand why people were nasty and things haven't changed! I have always tried to be a friend to everyone and be helpful and to spread a bit of love. I have also learned though that no matter what you do some people will only respond to your love with hatred and sometimes it is best to give up trying to understand and just ignore them!

This is so unbelievably TRUE. For the most part, deep down in someone who is snappy, miserable, rude (you get the idea) is a wonderful person who just wants to be loved, and we could help that person by not being judgmental. It may take time, it may take effort, it may take being a little thick skinned, but I bet it would be worth it.

Thanks Cathy.

Well Done, Peggy. You had the courage to make the positive step forward, and you were met by someone looking tor a way to take that same step. One step at a time.

Folks. I can only add. That making Peace with Imperfection whether it's related to ourselves or others, seems to me to be one of the important ways to extend love.

I agree, Rita, but it surely can be one of the most challenging hills to climb in personal development/achievement. Well worth the effort tho.

Shirley said that love starts at home and extends outwards. I couldn't agree more. Maybe if more people felt loved, safe, and accepted at home they wouldn't project their fear outwards. Make no mistake, all outwardly projected anger and hatred is really fear being expressed defensively. Well, except perhaps where true evil is present.
