One minute of an Earthquake has destroyed and killed many thousands, if we are to beleive the News reports. Know that POE prayers are with you Haiti citizens. As individuals a world away we cannot do much, but together and with the power of prayer we can!

Hard to imagine the trauma that these people are going through. Seems that even a comparatively simple injury such as a broken arm will go untreated!

Well, Obama is sending military help, and 100 million dollars to help them, the Mercy Corps in Oregon (doctors and nurses) took off for Haiti yesterday to help. I think things are staring to trickle in better for them now...they showed the bodies piled up high on the news tonight though. Say prayers, but esp for those small kids now without parents...that are to little to call out for their mom and dad by name. Most likely don't even know what their name is. An parent's worse nightmare I think.

In the meantime, California's Govenor (Arnold Swartzneger) declared northern California an state of emergency dissaster from the 6.5 quake they had just an day or so ahead of this Haiti quake. Last I heard on it damages were somewhere into 14 Million dollars there.
