We must think alike, as you people covered many of mine already also...I'll keep thinking for an bit if  you don't mind....hum..."Dances with Wolves" wasn't to bad, with Kevin Costner when it came out. Thinking of that, it's got to be "love" between the Road-runner and Wilie coyote, Silvester cat and tweetie bird...and Emer fudd and Bugs Bunny....or they wouldn't of kept up those cartoons for so long.

That's what I call out of the box thinking, Shirley. So after reading it, naturally Peppy LePew springs to mind.

Romeo and Juliet - even though the ending's sad

and Dirty Dancing

Or Anthony Andrews and Lysette Anthony (Lady Rowena). Lucky guy got to be in love with two beautiful women at one time.

We watched the very old version of Ivanhoe with Elizabeth Taylor at Christmas - she was so beautiful then.

Forgot the Vikings - love that film!

Remains of the Day (if we're also talking about unrequited love).

Waitress (for sheer quirkiness--and a very satisfying ending).

Chocolat

Babette's Feast (food as an expression of love--NEVER watch this film when you are hungry!).

In terms of love for animals, these three are always foremost in my mind:

National Velvet

Lassie Come Home

Hidalgo.

I just thought of another one - Frankie and Johnny with Michele Pfeiffer and Al Pacino.  Great picture!
