I like the old standbys, like 42nd Street, South Pacific, Annie, A Chorus Line.  And of course, Cats.  Jesus Christ Superstar was very controversial when it first came out, but there's some pretty powerful stuff in some of the lyrics.

I love Oliver too, but that's probably because of the song Food Glorious Food.  lol

We did a production of Jesus Christ Superstar at junior school in the 70's Ruth. I used to be a good singer (what happened!) - I was one of the lead singers in the choir and had to sing some of Jesus' songs in the "Jesus group". Myself and my friend Angela had to sing a duet "Pilates Dream".  We went on to perform some of them at a choir competition in (I think) Lichfield cathedral - it was a long time ago! We came 4th out of about 100 choirs. Wasn't keen on the musical itself but the songs are really great.

The Jungle Book - I know it's a kids film but I used to sing along with my two and had a right old laugh.  And it was usually me they were laughing at because I can't hold a tune..  Ha ha.
