C. S. Lewis enjoyed a pie and a pint at the Eagle and Child in Oxford. Lewis said of the 'Rabbit Room' there, that he enjoyed many a golden session in front of a blazing fire, with a pint close to hand!

What a great man he was, and what a great pub!

I could use an good stiff drink myself tonight, but I can't you know, as I have all these medications to take daily....I spent the day food shopping, that means hauling cases, and bags, and boxes of stuff, as I tried out an new "cash and carry" warehouse type store. I did get some bargains, couple dollars off on the oatmeal alone. Got some things my sister asked for also, as she doesn't get out and about as her car needs an tire, so she stays very close to where she lives..just in case. In fact she walks most the time now...something she doesn't enjoy in the rain. Her birthday is Feb. 2nd. I think one of the church ladies was going to take her to Shari's Restrurant this week, or so she said. I've been giving her food, as she says she can't make it on what she gets monthly from state assistence. Not in winter with added heating bills an such...electricty. So about this time every year, for Christmas and her birthday, she gets food from us...help her through for an couple of months or so. One reason I know my prices better then many do..I have to...picked her up today three cases of Top Raman noodles for $3.48 each and some peas, she said she liked creamed potatoes and peas...tuna and noodle casserole with peas in it, etc. They have good bargains on them now with "Spring" coming in an couple of months. Now if our Diana could come up with an good receipe for them.

I better get going "coast to coast" (talk radio) comes on soon until the wee hours of the morning....so probably lay back and listen to it...relax an bit. I had this Catholic nun following me around this store today...right up to the check out stand...if I knew her, I didn't recongize her. That' s what is hard about growing up in the area..everyone knows you rather you do them or not...as time goes on and you have worked and lived locally...people come and people go. Have an good weekend.

Hope you have a great time in our area James. My late mother-in-law lived in Harborne for the last few years of her life.

Managed to meet up with Cathy yesterday before she returns home - had a lovely day! Smile

Good Day!

I'd forgotten Cathy was visiting. Wish it could have been at the same time I was there, oh well, another year.

Sunday, it's cold but no snow, and I'm off to church.

Ditto, Ron. Don't you wish you could have been there sitting around that table and listening to the conversation? I do. :-)

Good day to the Ladies.  And a big Hello to the Gents.

Our Lives are blossoming in total perfection.

Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning, the devil says, OH CRAP, SHE'S UP"!
