I have been wet shaving ever since I was about 17 years of age. Over the years I reckon I have tried every razor blade on the market, including the very cheapest in disposable to the very best whatever that may be. But it does seem to me that when a company introduces a 'new' blade they make out it's the best thing since sliced bread, but when the promotion is over and you buy your next packet of the same brand of razor blades, somehow the quality is no longer there. It seems to me that they may well use a superior steel for the promotion, honing the cutting edge to perfection, but it all goes out the window once they have got you hooked, hence I bet like most who wet shave I have got probably 8 or 10 different types of holder in the bathroom waiting for a new blade! What do you reckon members, the blades are not the same quality in my opinion, what say you? Might be interesting to get a comment from somebody who works in the business and surely there must be one on POE? |

I think they do that just so you have to buy the higher priced razor which makes their profits go up. Makes sense with all these companies introducing new and improved products all the time. Don't know why they can't leave a good thing alone. You find something that you like to use and they change! |

If your grumbling about a simple thing like a daily shave, I'll throw in 40 years of monthly cycles, pregnancy which can ruin a body and child birth, oh yeah, don't get me going on child birth . Back to shaving. My dad used a straight razor and sharpened it on a strop. I would love my husband to use a straight razor but he won't. He does wet shave though, and I just this past week replaced his shaving brush with a Silver tip badger Hair brush. Can't help you with razors though, |
