Ron Brind Posts: 19041 Joined: 26th Oct 2003 Location: England | quotePosted at 20:42 on 15th February 2010 When you want to show other members a particular subject/story....a link elswhere perhaps, often the member will say 'just copy and paste' BUT, this is POE and you can create a link by first adding the link information ie http://www.pictu etc...in your post (highlight it) and then scrolling down to the bottom of the page where you will see a 'link' icon to the right (it's the 4th and 5th icon in from the right travelling towards the left). Hold the mouse over the the first icon and it reads 'Preview', the second is Emotions, and the third is Insert/edit image. Next you will see the two most important links when it comes to creating a clickable link in your post. Having previously highlighted the link that you want others to be able to click on, copy and paste it and then scroll down to the 'closed' link on the left of the two icons (4th and 5th from the right). Click the closed link and it will bring up a window. Insert your copied link and click 'insert'. You will see that the link has been created and members will then be able to click on the link in your post, rather than having to copy and paste. Hope that all makes sense! |

Never mind, try it and each time you will get a little further, but I do understand.
