Hi, I've just been watching the UK Channel 4', Comedy Gala in aid of a London Childrens hospital. it boasts a host of comedy stars in the line up. I've just switched off my set after 20 minutes of foul-mouthed so-called comediens, one after another using swear words and referals to their private parts, dribbling like foul tapwater from a broken sewer. I havent heard one line I could laugh at, and this is supposed to be in aid of raising funds for the CHILDRENS Hospital!!! I dont know if its my age but is this filth realy  nesassery in todays society?Frown

I would have to agree with you there Michael! Like you said that's not the kind of line up to have for a children's hospital fundraiser.

Who was in the line up?

Oh, finally someone else has said this besides me, what happened to real comedy, the kind that laughs at silly situations, not at people in vulgar terms, in making fun of them in an sneering way.

I could not agree with you more Lancashire Love. Having failed to find one of the comedians funny, I too switched off after about 20 minutes. A true comedian should not have to resort to foul-mouthed language like this.

One or two names I've heard of before, krissy but I'll not even mention them as they dont deserve to be refered to as comediens in my book. Frown

I'm in your corner on this one too, Michael.  It's the same way over here.  Very few comedians worth listening to just because of this.  I'm glad I'm not alone in this.

after 20 minutes of this filth, I like many others I know, switched off.
Each and every so-called comedien on stage spouted vulgar language and dribbled referencies of their private parts in a vain bid to get a laugh, certainly not from me. THIS SHOW WAS BILLED AS A FUNDRAISER FOR A LONDON
CHILDRENS HOSPITAL. How dare you as a company insult the decent people of the country by producing this garbage in the name of comedy?
