An Englishman living in portugal heard that a couple from blackpool Lancashire, were stranded so he sold them his car for 600 euros (hire companies where asking 3 or 4 thousand euros for car hire), the stranded couple then drove through Portugal, Spain and France to arrive home safely but tired, last night.  WELL DONE THAT MAN!

Oh that is much better news Michael - the people who are willing to help in times of trouble.  Well done the cruise ship and the gentleman in Portugal - this is heartening news.

I wonder if there is some way I can find out. hmmm....Newark International Airport is only 30 mins away.

Other people have done it. Hmmm...now the wheels are turning. I guess I would have to go there directly. I can't imagine how they are not being helped more. I hear $10 food vouchers???? Insane!

It's the little stories like this that renew your hope in our species, especially nowadays when all the news seems to be bad.
