We broke down in the middle of the Nevada desert. Thank the good Lord that we had just made it over the pass (where there is no cell phone connection), and started down into the valley (where there is cell phone connection), so we were able to call for help.

It would have been a long, cold (snow and wind) trek back to the main highway, had we not had cell phone connection. Nevada has very patchy cell phone connection, more dead zones than live, we were very blessed.

He looks the boss because I allow him to think he's the boss.

No, I have a myriad ways to keep my man happy. As for wealthy, he counts his wealth in wife and children, but definitely not in money.

That is the way its suppose to be Sue..family comes first.

Ok, for those of you whom have an short summer to grow things , either patio cherry tomatoes or "pear" tomatoes..they both are little clusters on the vine, cu t off an cluster wash and gently pat dry the tomatoes....to one cup of flour, an pinch of salt. whisk together an bit and add 1 1/2 cups club soda..wisk to fluffy, batter will still be thin, cut off an small cluster of tomatoes on the vine, now insert it into oil heated to 350 degrees and deep fry for about one minute so the batter is golden brown, now lift out gently with an slotted spoon and lay on an towel to drain. Dip into Honey Dijon mustard salad dressing, Ranch and bacon, or Itaiian or any of you other favorites. Enjoy...leave your tomato plants in large containers and you can extend the growing season inside an bit.

Glad you had got a mobile phone connection Sue - you were lucky and unlucky at the same time!

I am feeling in a terrible dilemma this morning. They rang me from the local primary school yesterday to say they have two places for my two youngest. I had decided to leave them at there current school for just over a year until Aaron goes to senior school. There are no places over here for my eldest so I still have to make the journey for him and then would have to come back to take them still. But in a way at least he could make friends before he moves up - and little Sol could make the move while he is younger and settle in better. And then there is me - I would have to leave behind my friends too and how about if I don't make any new ones - it's a little bit of a lonely life working from home especially as I have no time to do the social things at school. But if I say no now that might go against Sol in a year's time - and it is inevitable. I am really struggling with this .....
