i wasnt too bad at marbles but not too good at jacks, also we would play matchbox rugby where a matchbox was cut in half and the one half would be tucked into the other  half the a rugby pitch about 3ft square would be drawn on the path the we would flick the box along the floor to score.

thats all we had them days isnt it ron.Frown

But do you remember the milk was using "turning" in the summer months, Sue, yuck.  I am still unable to drink milk to this day.

Anyone else remember playing Jacks and of course marbles, besides those games mentioned previously?

I use to be a milk monitor (so they didnt notice I had not had any, I hated it. used to buy 'penny buscuits' from the buscuit monitor though lol

Rounders's',  lol simular to basesball I suppose but it was considered a 'sissy' game so the lads sport was always football, cricket in the summer and sometimes rugby.

Hockey. I hated hockey.

I'm trying to think of the game we used to play, it was like cats cradle but with tied the string around two sets of legs.

See my post below, Krissy has already posted it, I should have re-read the thread.

I was at primary school in the early 70's. We used to play marbles, my friend Tracey & I used to play horses - there were alot of horse films and programs at the time - my pretend horse was called Dynamite and he was a black stallion - Tracey had a pretend palamino called Smokey Bacon!

Milk break - I was allergic to milk as a child and my Mom forgot to tell them on my 1st day at school. They wouldn't listen to a 4 year old in 1969 so they forced me to drink it so I was terribly sick!
