Eh..Gads...someone knocked me off line as I was about to post. Thank you all for the birthday wishes...it has been an weekend of surprises for me in unexpected ways. First I get told the kids found an house (modular trailer home) to rent about 15 miles away from us...and to me it seems in the boonies, but she's at the end of an bend of an trailer like park, and looks out over two acres, with distant fenced surround and beyond clumps of woods. Surprise. I had all kinds of nighmares last night thinking about winter...but we will cross that when it comes I guess. My first thought was this is like moving my grandkids to New York City...but they promised me like "Tom Bodette" and his Motel 6 "light"...they'd leave the computer on for me..no, not the light. In the meantime I went out and bought them an "surprise" patio set and side sitting set for their front porch...some more solar lights for the walk way in front to an storage shed also...so they wouldn't feel to "dark" out there and yet see the stars...my grandkids promised me they would leave the comptuers on to chit chat as they pass by. Just finished off my "birthday" dinner, an simple one, with Diana's meat loaf receipe...we all went out to breakfast this morning except my son, they called him in early..unexpected..but so goes...we finsihed off the unexpected when we nearly hit an car that just carreened over in front of us to turn on an street. We stopped about an foot from it..I was still gasping.. Daughter in-law promised me that they would buy an big generator for this winter to run the furnaces and appliances just in case the electricity went out. This nice update three bedroom-two bathroom is still 15 miles away.  We are contemplating, as to school and work in town and weekends out in the country. In the mean time..renotvating time around here. Painting and up dating that has needed it for an long time now. Porttland's Rose Parade went off well this year. Watched some of it myself yesterday morning. So thank you all for the birthday wishes...have yet to see if I apply for Social Security and kind of semi-retire or not. Depends on how much they say I can collect I suppose......Is this what they collectively thinking?...no? Catch you all later on. Tired at the moment...been an long weekend of the unexpected.
