I am profoundly allergic to them (breathing issues, etc. when I am around them), but I like them in spite of this--at a distance, of course! Of course, this woman (who, by the way is unmarried and has no children according to reports) describes her actions as a spur-of-the-moment "harmless" prank, and she seems mystified as to the why there is such an uproar over her actions. This woman needs some serious help from the counseling or psychiatric profession--she certainly seems unaware of the cruel nature of this despicable act. Sad. |

But its still a bad thing to have done! I think respect is the key thing. I like to think i have respect for all living creatures, regardless how ugly or scary, cute or cuddly they are. This woman obviously has none. Also, a lot of serial killers start off by hurting animals ....Its not a normal instinct surely to want to hurt or inflict pain/distress on any creature, just for the hell of it. Saying that ...i bet most of you on here eat meat??? ....cute lambs ....chickens ...cows ...a lot get treated awfully ...yet a cat in a bin makes the news!! |

I spent over 21 years in the pest control industry putting down all sorts of animals, but humanely. As Diana pointed out I would not deliberately harm them. Like you said chances are that those who complain about a cat in a bin that came to no harm, eat cute lambs, rabbits, chickens, piglets, cows etc. |
