I just read in the newspaper that a woman in Coventry needs police protection because she dumped a cat in a large dust bin. Unfortunately for her a surveillance camera filmed it all.

I thought all English are animal lovers?

This lady defies belief in what she did and in also now apparently claiming it was only a joke.  While the RSPCA are looking into the case, the police are taking no action as she hasn't committed any offence.

I don't think she'll find many people agreeing with her sense of humour.

What exactly do they call an offence?

I agree Patrick, maybe one of the cops would like it done to them, then it would be considered an offense!! I think she needs her head examined!!! What a horrible thing to do! Maybe they should dump her in the dust bin???

If that had happened in the USA she would have been brought up on animal cruelty charges. She would have paid a hefty fine and possibly have done some jail time too.

I'd like to put her in a can and "forget" about her for a while, the cow.

She really should get charged for animal cruelty, that may satisfy the people of the world.

I watched the video, it was no joke, she was looking around her to make sure nobody could see her. She is cruel, and needs some kind of punishment.

I reckon all cats should have one and filled with CO2 would be good!

Failing that keep your cats in your own garden, as dog owners do, as rabbit, guinea pig, chickens and all other pet owners have to do!

No I don't like cats!
