Lewis (often referred to as the Kilns) and an area that was formerly his 'back garden', a lake and woodland of some 5 or 6 acres that some believe inspired Lewis to write the 'Chronicles of Narnia'. The land is now owned by the Wildlife Trust who seem to care very little about our history (C. S. Lewis and Poet Shelley take second place here that's for sure) rather they are more concerned about the voles, bats, frogs, tadpoles, newts etc so it was indeed a pleasure, but a surprise to see a Terrapin sat on timber floating in the lake, which by their own admission is dead, still full of weed and stagnating!! Somebody has obviously dumped the Terrapin, but what happens when the 'do-gooders' find it, will they remove it and if so why? Rock on Ninja, or was that a Turtle? Lol
