Thank you Ron, when I think of "Box Day" I think of the social's the ladies use to have in the past that they would pack lunch in for an picnic. They would call it an "Box Social" I beleive. Sometimes they still do it in the summer... and sometimes for raising money. Each person buys an box...or makes up one to sell.. and the proceeds go to some worthy cause. Prime concern in the cartoons of "Tom and Jerry"...the cat and mouse.... in the stratagies for the mouse to rob an lunch box.. and the cat to go after the mouse. Usually the mouse won in the end, and gets his fried chicken...and sometimes the local ants, would show up to haul off the olives or the cherry on the cake at the end of the cartoon.
