A couple of days ago i went to Portchester castle. The temperature was below freezing at -2c and where there was no snow there was deap deap frost. I was the only one there for some strange reason.

My family think i should be locked away and insist that i'm nuts. My family are a Peculiar bunch.

What wonderfully peaceful places they can be too, when it's cold and no one's around.

Krissy, I love your avatar!

You're not nuts for going out on a day you like, no matter the weather...for you know what weather you can handle.....those that only like warm weather days need to stay home when its colder out. Glad you went and enjoyed your time out...your pictures are great ! Keep them coming !

Looking at your avatar Krissy, is it possible that you have hidden the goldfish on top of the bulb and Moggy has you sussed? He's obviously waiting for the lamp to be turned off in order not to get burned, but at least the fish will be cooked! Lol

They claim to rub yourself down with petroleum jelly...vaseline when going out in the cold, it helps to retain your body heat in your body better, so you don't feel as cold. Something I think from Native Americans days...they used bear fat if I rember rightly...kind of grizzly sounding...  heh?

Now Ron and James most  likely take an nip of Scotch or brandy or something of that nature also.
