I am not sure if this one has been done before, anyway who would you invite to diner and why? You can choose who you like from any point in time, alive or not and say four guests per meal.

I will have a go to start it off.

Guest No. 1. William Henry Fox Talbot.

Without Fox Talbot we might not have had photography as we know it and POE might never have got going. Fox Talbot would marvel at seeing photography today and what we all take for granted.

      Guest No. 2. Richard Trevithick.

Trevithick was a Cornish inventor who has contributed so much to the modern world but died a pauper in Dartford Kent. I would like him to see what he did for the world, one of his quotes suggested he had an idea of what his lifes work did for the world. Some of his most famous work include the first car, the first rail locomotive, the cornish beam engine, a screw propeller, recoil gun,a refridgeration unit, a threshing machine and very nearly a tunnel under the Thames to name but a few. What an active mind to have at diner.

      Guest No. 3. Rick Wakeman.

This will liven things up! Rick would talk for England with his tales of life in the world of Rock with tales of gigs and life on the road. Also his rants and ravings about what is right , wrong and just plain common sense will have all in stitches. With a bit of luck he might even perform a few of his great pieces of music.

Guest No 4. Adeliza de Louvin.

Adeliza is for my wife and daughter, Adeliza was Henry 1's second wife and after his death she later went on to marry a William d'Aubigny and wife and daughter can trace their ancestry directly to them.My daughter is fascinated by her and this time in history so this would be a meeting of a lifetime.

So this is my table of guests, who will be at your table?  Bon Appetite!

Oh...that is a hard one but off the cuff...

Theodore Roosevelt. My fav president.

Charlotte Bronte.

Michael Collins. I'd love to have a conversation with him! (does not mean I agree with Easter Rising or Irish politics)

e.e. Cummings.

I'll come up with another list for another dinner party...when I can think more clearly!

Isambard Kingdom Brunel (did you ever hear a cooler name than that?)

All things considered I think it would be my great grandparents so that I could hear first hand what it was like living and working in the mid 1800's (and to fill the gaps in the genealogy!)
