Somehow they manage to allow their jeans to deliberately slip to a position lower than their backsides, the gusset is between their knee's, and yes they can still walk! Further, their walk often resembles something that you might see in the local Zoo - or is this the only way to keep the jeans half way up, or maybe half way down? If they went to the local store to buy jeans and the salesman/woman said 'well, they sort of fit but your backside is hanging out' would they buy them, not a chance, so why inflict this b....y stupid 'fashion statement' upon us? If they really want to do the job properly, why not get the so-called fashion designers to produce a pair of jeans that fit at the hips and the waist, with the backside completely missing (with a belt at the waist of course). At least we would then have something to take aim at, as we performed a thoroughly deserved right boot to their silly backsides!! Where did this all begin.....America maybe? C'mon you lot across the pond it's time to own up! Do your kids walk around like it, or does it come from elsewhere on the globe maybe? Grrrrrrrgh, such a b....y silly idea!

You should take a trip to San Francisco. There you would see said pants on the boys and their partners. |

I guess he thought he looked pretty cool. Just like the Formula One drivers who like to look stylishly scruffy. I think Jensen Button has ensured we won't be seeing a razor manufacture sponsoring McLaren-Mercedes any time soon and he's not the only one in the pit lane in the stylishly scruffy championships that thinks it looks fantastic, for sure. There is only a certain demographic that thinks it's still cool!! The girls here now are into wearing sweatpants and UGGS....a kind of winter boot. Look silly. BUT...have any celebrity on TV wear a paper plate and some tape and that will be the latest the kids will wear! |

Men have always found ways to display their "endowments." Please have a look at Beth Kosir's wonderful article on codpieces via the Richard III Society website: http://www.r3.org/life/articles/codpiece.html--very revealing! I also would direct you to the following site for a photo of King Henry VIII's field armour--delusions of grandeur or just gettin' down and dirty?: http://travel.webshots.com/photo/1096995103049764820oryOEe Nothin' new about exhibitionism, it seems. That being said, I can't say that I'm real happy having to look at such a display of underwear! Sorry Rob had to delete the material copied from another website--Is my edit alright, Ron? Parents were outraged and it was then shown to the parents that they were, in fact, allowing this behaviour and thus were a degree responsible for this. Parents were outraged and said When THEY were young they had freedom to dress according to fashion, blah blah blah BUT back then, it was not indecent to dress as they did, it was more 'fad' n 'funny' than indecent. After a few had to pay the tickets, they started to say things to the kids about the way they dressed but that didn't matter...they still do...and probably will continue to do so...but as students...ourselves...we used to run up and quickly pull the jeans down to the ground and run....and THAT caused enough of a change in the way they were wearing their jeans. It was not allowed in schools to be worn below the waist and IF you did, the Dean of Boys would address the matter....something EVERYONE knew what THAT meant LOL....but at this time I think it's still part of a passing fashion...an attention getter....but frustrating to the rest of the public who have to look at these backsides.....perhaps Rate them between 0-10 and they will reconsider LOL... |

But they brought out their shirts over the pants and kind of let them cover up the waist somewhat...and those whom liked them as freinds joined them now and then so they didn't look out of place. I had them living with my son and two other kids in our garage one summer which was made into an huge family room type for them..and they played basketball, BBQ'd and fix up an old Mercedes that summer between working jobs...and taking turns in staying in the garage...I had two Queen sized sleeper sofa's out there and pool table and Tv set and stero-Cd player. Actulally they were pretty particular how they looked and esp in caring for their tennis shoes like they were pure Gold. They ironed thier clothes all the time before they went to work, as they wore white shirts. they were no bother to me and were pretty accustomed to taking care of themselves. They all went back to their houses right before school started. I don' t think the kids now are like that though..as it seems more of an fashion statement these days. Some people just don't have the "know how"in popular fashion trends anyway...and they do look stupid. I saw that in an lady wearing one of those silk blouses that look like the top of her silk PJ's with straps on her shoulder....she was at the Mall and she looked like she pulled jeans on over her nighttime underwear. I was listening later on to an fashion consultant and she said that you never are suppose to wear one out in the public without an short jacket over it for the correct "look" in wearing them. Only at ones house are they to be worn without an covering. So an lot of this look is how its worn. I have seen the kids.. when guys go up and pull down thier pants as an "funny" if they are to baggy...all the kids stayed out in my garage that summer were wearing each others clothes if they got the chance....it cut down on thier need for clothing. They had to give up the mercedes also after they got it fixed and running because they were so young they couldn't afford the insurance to keep it. Amoung one of the boys was an Lt. in the fire dept..whose father dressed immaculate..and lived by rules an regulations daily in his house. They were pretty clean cut guys over all. They, were an group that got along well at that age, had many of the same likes..such as working on cars and the basketball playing..and they don't see each other now at all.... Just an thing of the time I guess. |
