So, are things so very different in this century than in the past? Men have always found ways to display their "endowments." Please have a look at Beth Kosir's wonderful article on codpieces via the Richard III Society website: http://www.r3.org/life/articles/codpiece.html--very revealing! I also would direct you to the following site for a photo of King Henry VIII's field armour--delusions of grandeur or just gettin' down and dirty?:

Nothin' new about exhibitionism, it seems. That being said, I can't say that I'm real happy having to look at such a display of underwear!

Sorry Rob had to delete the material copied from another website--Is my edit alright, Ron?

Yes, that's fine Rob thank you for understanding.

Thank goodness my son only wore his jeans slightly below his waist for a  period of time without his BVD's on display, and he could still walk normally.  Some of the kids I see out there - unbelievable!  They spend all their time hanging on to their pants so they won't fall down completely and they look ridiculous.  I always think, if they were being chased by the police, it would be no contest - those pants would trip them up straightaway!

Legit Rob? I thought you were referring to something the kids would never be able to do in those jeans they wear! Lol

Thanks for adding the links, keeping it safe for POE

Ahh its just teenagers doing what teenager do, making a statement ......hey we only get a few years of it before we become boring adults!!!  its always happened!!  it did when i was young, did when my dad was young  .....look at teddy boys!!!!   ridiculous look, but many would disagree ....and look back over time, there's always been strange fashion statements!!!

I'm pretty sure its a tribal thing, taking us back to our roots, we still use our primal brain sometimes, and teenager definately do, hence their sometimes bad behaviour, they don't reason the same as adults for some reason, part of turning into an adult i guess, but its been proven. I think this makes them tribal, they are not children but not full adults, so they form tribes which gives them independance, tribes need identity, so they use what other tribes are doing, odd fashions, lets face it, we all like to fit in with a crowd, its human nature, but teens are new to it all!!   just my opinion!!Smile
