Congratulations to the England Cricket Team 2010 as they retain 'The Ashes' in Australia.

All I can suggest is that the 'Aussie's' keep up the practice and they might get them back one day!

Well done lads!

Here in the UK we have a television programme called 'Wanted Down Under' where various trades such as Policemen, Planners, Engineers, Nurses, Plumbers, Electricians are encouraged to emigrate to Australia.

I hear they have now added 'Cricketers' to the list of wanted! Lol

Hi Ron: thought I should get back in the loop, especially as the Aussies needed a bit of support. I do agree, it is only a game. The cricket commentators here will now savage the Aussie team. If Ponting and his crew had stormed the nearest Melbourne catholic orphange, raped all the nuns, and slaughtered the kids, I could understand the press vilification. However to lose a game of cricket is no big deal. It is only a game, as you say. I think some commentators and cricket "tragics" have a skewed perspective.

Best wishes to you and yours for 2011.

PS Has the weather improved? Or does it not "improve" in the UK???

From here it looks like the only thing good about being in 'OZ' at the moment is the need to be able to swim. With most of Queensland under water and the cricket team struggling to stay afloat you should have no trouble raising a decent swimming squad for next years London Olympics. All the best for the new year and watchout for the crocs floating down the mall.Wink
