Well said Bob!

No one makes tea the way the English do!

Horrors - if you order tea in Europe you get a glass of hot water and a tea bag.  There is no way you can make a drinkable cup of tea like that.

In Switzerland in our hotel they had all sorts of teas in the room.  I happily made us a much needed cup of tea and it was PINK!! I think it was rose petals or hibiscus flowers or some such strange thing! LOL

To add to Cathy's comments..I was going to say that hubby & I travel quite often, and have found that tea at home is the best...however, we take some of our teabags from home and create our own favored tea when we are away...by simply adding our own teabags to the steaming hot water provided by the various accommodations. It's amazing to find out that steaming hot water is actually FREE in many places we have been to...( and adding our fav teabags ) we have a bit of home whilst away....mmmmm...doesn't get any better that this...LOL

I don't think I could compete with the lady who drank 25 cups of tea a day but I cannot get going without 3 mugs of tea in the mornings!!  A couple of mugs at lunchtime and about 3 mugs around 5 in the evening.  I also drink several cups of coffee during the day too.  This is a hot, dry (well except for the past week when we have had just about non-stop rain, lol) country and we need plenty of fluids.  Don't trust the tap water even with a filter on it and object to buying bottled water.

Vince if you don't drink tea what do you drink?

Beth - I've never heard of Long Island tea - do tell me more!! lol

Cathyml asked what I prefer to drink if not T?

Well it seems to be C!!

By that I mean most of my favorite drinks begin with C

i.e. Coffee, Cider, Campari (neat), Coke (preferably with

               Bacardi), and the odd Chocolate.

I can see a new thread coming about coffee soon, not from any High Street outlet is what I say.
