James that reminds me of the days at home when we were about 9 or 10 years old. My younger brother and I would actually argue over who was going to eat the rabbits brains and tongue, as our mother stripped the coat off the rabbit, including the head and boiled it and yes, the eyes were removed, aawh what?

Absolutely true that.

Rabbits have got more tongue than the missus, better not comment about the brains! lol

just read it now ron they wouldnt eat owt like that now.i dont mind half a cow heel   have you ever had that.

I read it Ron, and I think your treading on thin ice. 

Anyway, my parents and grandparents were also from the generation where nothing was left to waste, animal, vegetable or mineral. Things were used up, worn out and very rarely thrown away.

I bet my parents were about the same age, if not older than yours Ron.
