British Home Secretary and head of Police has made another 'gaff' yesterday. Not content with mis-calculating student protestors by having unprepared Police monitoring riots and attacking her own party headquarters recently, and on another occaision failing to secure the safety of the Royal family in London as Prince Charles's car was attacked on the way to theater, she yesterday introduced a website in which members of the public can access any street in the UK to view reported crime figures and types. Useful for the criminals I would have thought but what about the homeowners who should they wish to sell their homes to move elsewhere now find that although their house is an exellent buy, the potential buyer is 'put off' because a 'greedy' neighbour' has submitted a number of false insurance claims for burglaries that had never happened, or a 'domestic' or anti social behavour incident by a passing 'hooligan' or 'drunken football fan'. |
