Woman Charged With Child Abuse:

A woman is charged with child abuse charges after appearing on Dr. Phil, and admitting that she disciplines her child with hot sauce and cold showers. The video shown on Dr. Phil shows her putting hot sauce in the boy's mouth and forcing him into a cold shower against his will, while the boy sobs.

What do you say POE members: child abuse or not?

In my book it is most definitely child abuse, and it makes me very angry. Some are arguing that the child didn't endure any lasting physical marks etc. What a load of crap! As if that excuses inhumane treatment.

The emotional and psychological abuse is worse than any physical discomfort. That child was humiliated and now lives in constant fear of his mother for God's sake. The damage to his self esteem and his ability to trust is immeasurable.
