I think its a dead boring subject Mike!

Can't really see why it will hurt anybody. After all is said and done you're going up in smoke and won't know anything about it, so why not power the arms and legs of those who can still use them?

Ummmm! Makes you think of the concentration camps in hitlers germany though.

a couple of years ago it was reported in a 'local' newspaper that two young women were taking an evening dip in there local council run pool when they were told the pool was about to close for the evening. They showered and got dressed, then headed for the bus station to go home. Suddenly one of the women said Oh! I've left my purse in the locker room. She ran back to the pool, which was now closed to the public but still unlocked. In she rushed, only to be confronted by a group of Asian people with a dead Asian body in the pool. She was ushered out as they explianed that it was a regular occurance when one of their relatives passed away. The women was shocked but the council explained 'we will review the practice'.Frown

As far as I am concerned Mike, this is definitely not on! I wouldn't even want to paddle in the same water, would you? Disgusting thing to be allowed to happen in a public bathing place!

Oh dear! I have to admit to finding the whole issue distasteful. I am not sure I want to think of crazy aunt Monica every time I flip on the light switch.

I personally don't see anything wrong with it, but I can see how it would be insensitive to those who don't like the idea.  We should be trying to save energy whenever and wherever we can, but the amount of energy that this scheme could generate and the no. of pounds saved might not be worth the cost of the social aspect of it.
